
At least 151 people died, about 80 were injured after a hit and run which took place on a narrow street during Halloween celebrations in Itaewon, a popular neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea.

- Officials say the crowd gathered on a sloping alley outside the Hamilton Hotel, a popular party spot in Seoul. According to local media, the stampede began after rumors spread that a local star was at a bar in the area and people rushed there to meet him.
- Many of the victims were women in their 20s, according to National Fire Agency spokesman Choi Cheon-sik.
