However, the collaboration between Karolina and Bertrand Perre ended just before participation in the Tournament of Champions.

The coach informed L’Equipe about the separation and explained his decision.

“There have been a few issues in recent weeks that have spoiled the atmosphere and I thought it would be better to retire. I do this work for pleasure, and in this case it no longer exists,” Bertrand Perret told the quoted source.

Together with Perre, Garcia won tournaments in Bad Homburg (WTA 250), Warsaw (WTA 250) and Cincinnati (WTA 1000) and managed to climb from 75th to 6th place.

In the current season, Caroline Garcia has 41 wins and 19 losses.

Caroline Garcia will play in the “Tracy Austin” group at the Tournament of Champions together with Poland’s Iga Sviatek (1 WTA), Koko Gauf (4 WTA) and Daria Kasatkina (8 WTA).

The competition at “Dickies Arena” in Fort Worth (Texas) will be held from October 31 to November 7.
