According to CNN, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said on Friday that the Ukrainian capital will need at least two to three weeks to restore its power system damaged by Russian attacks, as the city experienced emergency power outages.

“If there are no accidents, Ukrenergo specialists hope to eliminate the deficit caused by the attacks of Russian barbarians on critical infrastructure facilities in 2-3 weeks,” he said in his official Telegram channel.

Electricity supply has been temporarily suspended in all districts of Kyiv “due to a significant shortage of electricity – from 20 to 50% – today,” added Klitschko.

He urged residents and businesses to reduce their electricity usage to avoid potentially more serious outages.
