The attack on the mausoleum in the city of Shiraz will not go unanswered, Iranian President Ibrahim Raishi has warned, according to the semi-official Tasnim news agency.
During the day, armed Tehran calls “takfiri” the shot pilgrims at the Shah Serag temple.
“Experience shows that the enemies of Iran, failing to break the unity of the nation, strike back with violence and terror. This evil will definitely not go unanswered, and the security forces and law enforcement agencies will teach a lesson to those who planned the attack,” Raisi said.
The term “takfiri” is commonly understood by Iranians as uncompromising armed Sunni organizations.
