Lewis Hamilton wants to sign a multi-year contract with Mercedes

The British driver, who came close to winning the US Grand Prix (finishing second at the Austin circuit), said he was considering a “multi-year” deal with the Mercedes team.

“I think it will be a contract for several years. There has been talk of me resigning and frankly I don’t like the idea and I don’t feel like I’m at that stage. We still have a lot to work on as a team, as individuals on the team, we still have a lot to do as a sport and I want to be part of that change.

I don’t know how the next five years will go. We are still in the process of analyzing this. I don’t feel old, I feel young and fit. Then I don’t know. If Fernando (Alonso, 41) leaves, I will think twice because I will become the oldest driver” – Lewis Hamiltonbefore the Mexican deputy, quoted by formula1.com.
