But to tell the truth, this method seems to be less and less used by bandits who prefer to take less risks. This is how a new process appeared a few years ago, with the development of electronic keys. It is about jack mouse, which then consists of hacking the key to be able to get into the car and start it, all without hacking. It’s scary, but more and more often. Specifically, thieves buy a box online that collects waves from the key and can then use it to turn on the ignition and make off with the car.

How to protect against this?

Fortunately, this method can be combated. When you are at home, remember not to leave yours car keys too close to a door or window. It’s best to wrap it in aluminum to block the waves though. If you are in traffic, always make sure your vehicle is securely locked before you leave. This will significantly reduce the risk of its theft.
