The “broken” will be asked to pay, the people arrested for the damage they caused to the “Euclid” school in Thessaloniki.

According to thessnews.gr, these are ten young people between the ages of 14 and 19 who have been prosecuted by the Tumpa Triandria Police Department for disrupting service and damaging foreign property.

It is recalled that widespread destruction in the Euclid school complex, and more precisely in the 15th and 14th EPAL, took place on the evening of Sunday, October 16, when young people entered the complex and destroyed everything they found in front of them.

“Last week, a group of young children (mostly students of the school itself) broke into one of the buildings of the Euclid school complex and turned them into nail glasses, literally, not figuratively. The school even had an alarm in the street, which we installed in the spring after a previous vandalism attack. And while the alarm rang and with the police station located on the opposite corner, young people broke them.

They broke them, not caring about what their classmates would find tomorrow, what they would find themselves. School principals are again in a state of shock. This time, 10 people were arrested (apparently because of the alarm they did not have time to escape), so that the “known-unknown” finally got a name.

The Municipality of Thessaloniki, with all services involved, responded immediately and did the right thing so that the space was restored within 2 days and the children and their teachers could safely return to their classrooms. But who pays the boatman? This time, after a full assessment of the damage, we will try to recover what belongs to the citizens. Because magic is not magic. It must be paid. Our society should not show the slightest tolerance for vandalism and the destruction of schools with their own “guts” for no reason or reason. And, unfortunately, school vandalism is a new sign of the times.”
