Krina Pintya may miss the European Championship

Led by coach Florentin Pera, the tricolors met on Monday at the Ceile-Gredistei stadium, after which they will play two training games in Tatabania against Hungary (October 29) and Germany (November 2).

In the final tournament, which will be organized in the cities of Ljubljana, Celje, Skopje and Podgorica, Romania has been drawn into Group C, which also includes the Netherlands, France and North Macedonia.

Krina Pintea, a very experienced player and an important part of the women’s national handball team, has a serious hip problem and is uncertain about the upcoming final tournament.

“I believe in the team, we have valuable players, even if the problems in the formation of the team are getting worse every day. Krina Pintea is a questionable player right now. We do not know how far he will be able to come to the European Championship.

It would be a big loss considering the fact that he has experience and plays an important role in the defensive phase and not just in attack. If Krina also succeeds, there will be quite big problems. I also had emotions about Sorina Grozav, she has a little cold, but I understood that everything was fine.

There are almost six injured players, not counting players who did not get vaccinated. Of course, this is everyone’s right, and I faced many difficulties in forming a team. But that’s all, we adapted.

I trust the players, they are very motivated, I want us to look like a united team fighting regardless of the opponent at the European Championship,” he said. Florentin Pera.

How much the presence of Christina Nyagu means to Romania

The technician also clarified how important Christina Nyagu’s presence will be at this final European tournament.

“Kristina Nyagu is a big plus for the team, she is the captain of the team, a player with a lot of experience. What is important is that he has consistently shown good performances for his club team in the Champions League.

And at the Karpat Trophy, I managed to use it as much as I needed, because it came after three matches in eight days. The most important thing is that she is healthy, going to the national team,” he said.

The Romanian national team consists of 18 players: Yulia Dumanska, Daciana Hosu, Diana Chuke – goalkeepers; Alexandra Badea, Bianca Bazaliou, Elisa Bucheski, Nicoleta Dinka, Sorina Grozav, Alexandra Dindiligan, Krina Pintea, Lorena Ostase, Laura Pristavica, Sonia Seraficanou, Andrea Tirle, Cristina Nyagu (capt.), Diana Lixandrau, Corina Lupei and Michaela Mihai .
