The fight for the title in the Super League seems to be three this season (Farul, Rapid, CFR Cluj), but only the defending champion is part of the squads that have fought for the championship in recent years.

Farul Konstanza, Florin Raduchu’s favorite for the Super League title

Former Golden Generation great striker Florin Reduchoui spoke about his favorite to win the title, as well as CFR’s chances for another championship.

After 15 matches, Farul Constanta are leading the Romanian Super League with 34 points, 5 ahead of second-placed Rapid Bucharest and 6 ahead of reigning champions CFR Cluj.

Dan Petrescu’s side have two more in arrears and should they win both matches, the Transylvanians will move level on points with Farul Constanta.

In an intervention on Prima Sport, the former winner of the title as part of “Dynamo” Florin Reduchoui talked about the fight for the championship in the current season.

“I said from the beginning, I don’t think CFR will win the title this year. I expected them to come back in the rankings, but I don’t think this will be their year. I’m just saying it’s not going to be their year.

I believe in the power and imagination of the Hagi team, I believe that after many years this is their year. I have already spoken about it and I remain in this position. I believe in Hagi’s madness, in his imagination and in those extraordinary players.” – stated Răducioiu.

The former Romanian international standout believes Alibek and Luiz Munteanu are the two big shots Hagi made in the summer transfer window, forming an unrivaled attacking pair.

Bohdan Stelea, a former Romanian goalkeeper, also considers Farula Constanța to be the favourite, confirming this in a show on Digisport.

In case of reaching the European spring, the champion of Romania will have many games that will benefit both “Farul” and “Rapid”, which do not participate in the European Cups.

CFR is second in the Conference League in a group that also includes Sivasspor, Slavia Praha and Balkan.

The situation in the Transylvania group:

1 Sivasspor 7p

2 CFR Cluj 7p

3 Slavia Prague 4b

4 Ballkani 4p.
