
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday sent his “warmest congratulations” to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the occasion of Xi’s re-election to a historic third term as the leader of the Communist Party of China and China, respectively, Agerpres writes.
“I will be glad to continue our constructive dialogue and our joint work aimed at strengthening the relations of global partnership and strategic cooperation between our states,” the Russian president emphasized, quoted in the Kremlin statement.
Vladimir Putin wished the Chinese leader “new successes (…), good health and prosperity.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping was re-elected as the leader of the Communist Party on Sunday, sweeping away any challengers to become China’s most powerful leader since Mao Zedong, the founder of China’s communist regime.
Xi Jinping has been nominated for a third five-year term by a largely changed Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
