Patrick Muratoglu supports Simona Halep to the end

After initially refusing to comment on his student’s situation, the Frenchman posted a short message on his personal Instagram account.

“I support you 100% in this fight, Simone. By the end of” – Patrick Muratoglu.

Patrick Muratoglu is currently working with Holger Rune. The coach noted that it was Simona who encouraged him to cooperate with the Dane, who is ranked 27th in the ATP ranking, in the conditions when the season for the Romanian has already ended.

Simona Halep has been provisionally suspended for failing a doping test at the 2022 US Open, the International Tennis Integrity Agency announced on Friday.

Shortly after the explanation, which flew around the world, Simona Halep said: “I was informed that I tested positive for a substance called roxadustat in an extremely small amount. I will fight to the end to prove that I have never knowingly taken a banned substance.” Moreover, the ex-WTA leader said that she felt “completely confused and betrayed”.
