Netflix wants to make the process of signing up for the service as easy as possible for those who have used another user’s account, possibly violating the terms of use. How will this be achieved? On Monday, the popular streaming platform will launch a “Profile Transfer” feature that allows any subscriber to transfer their profile to a new account while retaining all of their personalized recommendations, browsing history, My List service, saved games and other settings. Profile Transfer, which Netflix says is in “high demand” from customers, will go live for all subscribers worldwide in a few days. Platform users will be notified via email when a profile transfer becomes available for their account.

Disney will release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever in French theaters next month, but has warned that its biggest films could be sent straight to the streaming service unless the country’s film rental rules are revised. France sees a system that determines when movies shown in cinemas can be shown on television or platforms as a key way to protect the film industry.
