USR leader Katalin Drula presented new documents on Friday that he claims will prove that Interior Minister Lucian Bode lied at a press conference where he presented the MAI’s findings on the purchase of 600 BMWs from the Bavarian Motor Police. belonging to Michael Schmidt, a close associate of President Johannis.

Cătălin Drula claims on Friday in a new Facebook post the fact that Interior Minister Lucian Bode lied during a video conference on October 6 in which he presented the results of the MAI Control Body.

Bode then claimed that the technical details sheet, including the 8+1 gearbox, would have been an integral part of the funding request approved by Catalin Drula himself on 25 May 2021, when he was transport minister, and that Drula would then 5 signed a financial contract on July 2021 for the purchase of 300 special vehicles, a contract that would contain Annex 2, which was just a sheet of technical details.

That’s how we get to new documents presented on Friday by Katalin Drula on Facebook. The head of the UDR presents 3 documents, since the system devised by the Police had several components.

These 3 documents are 3 technical projects, internal police documents, one of them is about 300 special vehicles for the Romanian police.

It will be recalled that the first auction for 300 cars was canceled due to the lack of participants, and the second auction meant the purchase of 600 BMWs from Automobile Bavaria – the only company that submitted applications.

Drula compares the photos presented at the Bode press conference and later by the PNL in the online campaign and the data found in the technical project aimed at the purchase of 300 special vehicles for the traffic police.

The fully published document signed by Drula indicates that it is an internal police project created by September 2020when he was Minister of the Interior Marcel Velaand in Transopturi he was even a minister Lucian Bode.

Katelin Drula was the Minister of Transport from December 23, 2020 to September 8, 2021.

“The documents I am presenting today prove in black and white that Dr. Bode manipulated the photographs presented at his press conference.

And that he spent a lot of public money on a poisonous campaign of lies about the deal between Johannis and BMW.

FACT: Neither I nor USR have anything to do with the special specs. They are not signed, approved, or accepted by me. This is an internal police document falsely and manipulatively presented as signed/approved by me. We continue to demonstrate this colossal lie.

The facts, in short:

Bode set up a special auction for Johannis’s friend, hijacking a European road safety project to buy 600 BMWs.

Instead of resigning, Bode presented a document with specifications that would be signed by me. The press requested this, but did not make it public. We are publishing it today and proving that that document, the technical task, was developed and signed by the MAI/Police.

In addition, Bode masked a key part (dimensional characteristics) from the document. why Because later, when he made a tender at the MAI, in the specifications this part was much more specific: almost exactly with the dimensions of the BMW. If he hadn’t masked it, it would have dispelled his lie that he was forced by the engineering project to fulfill this specification with dedication.

In image 1) you see what Bode falsely posted with the accusation that I would approve of the BMW purchase. He was asked if that was my signature on the document, he dodged the answer he knew. Not.

Bode showed only a fragment to the cameras. The reality is clear. The document is signed by the MAI/POLICE!

In image 2) you can see what the full page of the first photo looks like in Bode’s lie. It is important to see it in its entirety, because Bode was trying to hide something there.

Here is the proof that he rigged the auction for Johannis’s friend. Note the dimensional specifications in the technical design shown by Bode: only a minimum length of 4.50 m.

And in the image 3) – dimensional characteristics from the tender specification. In all 3 dimensions with accurate minimum and maximum ranges. The range is only 4cm in height, for example between 1.41m-1.45m. They match exactly the dimensions of the BMW 320i.

ANOTHER LIE: Bode said that, unfortunately, he could not have done the tender any other way, so it was in the technical design sent with the funding request. FAKE. It is clear from the documents that he changed the conditions in the tender specification compared to the technical task.
