
The mayor of the capital Nikusor Dan was fined in the parking lot of the town hall for not paying, on Thursday evening he explained how he got into this situation.
Nikusor Dan said on Digi 24 that he wanted to extend the parking time by SMS, but someone called him and forgot: “I was even fined for parking near the General Hall. I was in a hurry to the conference, time passed, and I didn’t send any more text messages.”
He made the comments in the context of talk of a “parking revolution”, saying he wanted the entire center ring to be marked “blue only” (paid) and subscriptions available.
The implementation period is one year.
The Bucharest Municipal Parking Company has launched a tender for the purchase of 300 parking meters, which will be installed in parking lots managed by the capital city hall. The value of the contract is estimated at 10.9 million lei. The deadline for submitting offers is November 10, and the delivery of parking meters is within 3 months from the signing of the contract. After the introduction of parking meters, the city hall will get rid of the employees who currently stand in each parking lot and collect money from those who park there.
As a reminder, from August 15, parking in the center of the capital can only be paid for, and the City Hall has established three parking zones, each with different tariffs.
Yes, for zone zero one hour of parking costs 10 lei, for zone 1 – 5 lei, and for zone 2 – 2.5 lei per hour, from 07.00 to 23.00.
In addition, according to the City Hall, there are several types of subscriptions, and residents can benefit from subscriptions with or without reserved parking spaces, 24/7 in each of Bucharest’s tariff zones 0, 1 or 2. Individuals can choose a subscription per day, week, month, semester or year for each of 0, 1 or 2 zones of the Capital.
The subscription price for individuals is as follows:
- Zero zone: one-day pass (07.00 – 23.00) – 75 lei/day. Subscription for a week – 300 lei. Subscription for one month – 1050 lei. Subscription for the semester – 5250 lei. Annual subscription – 9,450 lei.
- Zone 1: one-day passes – 38 lei, 150 lei/week, 525 lei/month, 2625 lei/semester and 4725 lei/year
- Zone 2: one-day passes – 15 lei, 60 lei/week, 210 lei/month, 1050 lei/semester and 1890 lei/year.
Those who have a season ticket for zone zero can also use parking spaces in zones 1 and 2, and those who have a season ticket in zone 1 can also use parking spaces in zone 2.
