The Football Museum will soon open in the historical center of Bucharest, and football fans will have a complete experience here: exhibitions with uniforms and other objects full of history, new media installations and unique simulations, as well as matches and events where they will participate together with their football idols .
Market research specialists Data Diggers conducted a study of the behavior of the capital’s residents in terms of tourism and entertainment purposes, as well as the need for a football museum, as is the case in most European capitals.
The survey results show that the majority of respondents (67%) rate Bucharest’s current offer as insufficient, with Herăstrău Park, the Palace of the Parliament, the Village Museum and the Antipa Museum at the top. In addition, 94% of respondents believe that the football museum will increase the attractiveness of Bucharest in the eyes of foreign tourists.
“Romanians expect that such a museum, in addition to fulfilling the classical mission of the museum, will offer other activities related to football, which together can provide a richer experience than they would separately.” said Liviu Micou, Senior Researcher at DataDiggers.
Romanians want a place where you can meet football legends
When asked what they want such a museum to offer, 65% of respondents said they want to admire historical football items (shirts or things that belonged to football players), and 54% of them hope that such a place will have the opportunity to meet their football friends. idols – another experience that they will be able to “mark” at the Football Museum of Bucharest during the events organized by Gique Popescu, the captain of the FMB, and his football guests.
“Thanks to the 8 levels of experience that we have prepared for visitors, we are convinced that we excite different categories of the public. The Football Museum in Bucharest combines the charm and glory of the moments that marked the history of football with the novelty and uniqueness of modern installations. With unique interactions, special events and a special bistro, FMB will also be a hub for entertainment and interaction, rather than just an exhibition of T-shirts and other valuables. We want both residents of Bucharest and foreign tourists to accept this place and include it in the top recommendations”, said Tiziana Hagiu, Chief Deputy Director of the Football Museum in Bucharest.
The FMB will also have a fan shop – 50% of respondents believe that the museum should have a shop where you can buy souvenirs or gifts for football fans.
Only 33% of respondents consider themselves satisfied with sports events and tourist attractions in Romania, and when asked which tourist attractions in Bucharest they would visit, they mentioned the National Arena, Genca Stadium and Arc de Triomphe Stadium.
– Data Diggers survey 22-31 August among 750 people from an urban environment aged 16-55.
