Tesla doubled its net profit in the third quarter, thanks in part to higher prices for electric cars, but its sales disappointed and its share price fell nearly 5 percent on Wall Street by around 20:20 GMT on Wednesday, AFP reported.

Elon Musk’s group did not change its long-term forecast of 50% annual growth in shipments, a goal that seems unlikely to be achieved by 2022.
