
He was arrested at noon in the area of Thesprotia police officers department of Igoumenitsa, a 67-year-old man who tried to kill stray dogs with traps.
In particular, the detention was made when the police officers, as part of the direct investigation of the complaint, found in the places near the defendant’s house six pieces of meat soaked in poison, which he planted to kill stray animals.
The pieces of meat were removed for examination by the competent veterinary service.
The detainee is accused of violating the law on the protection of animals and will be taken to the public prosecutor Plymmeliodiki Thesprotia.
