Theory: Easter and elections

There is now more and more discussion about possible dates for the 2023 elections. And maybe it doesn’t matter much to the general public, but for the government, the exact time when the elections will be called should be weighed to the end. Therefore, the prevailing opinion in Maximu is that the most ideal time for holding elections is either March 26, or at the latest April 2 or 9. In any case, until Easter Sunday, so that if necessary, which is the most likely scenario, a “second round”, the next ones take place in early May. And why is this time considered the best? N.D. he does not want to go to elections with maximum polarization, since it is believed that the citizens who will judge the result are not hard-party members, who in toxic conditions may even abstain. Therefore, the Easter “gap” will help in this direction.

Complaints against ministers

Of great party interest was the OAKA “blue” meeting last weekend, which for the first time brought together all the presidents of local organizations from all over Greece. The profit that ND made is considered important, as individual leaders feel – rightly or wrongly – relegated to the background by the central government, and the prime minister’s speech addressed to them “warms” them. However, when the doors were closed and the presidents had a full discussion with Pavlos Marinakis and Stelios Kontadakis, most of them complained that several ministers were blatantly ignoring them. In fact, such a sharp comment was made: “We run after the ministers, and then they don’t talk to us.” By the end of the discussion, of course, most people had calmed down, as Mitsotakis had previously sent a message to ministers to keep their cabinet doors open.

Support in Mendoni

Mendoni has been criticized several times. This in no way concerns Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who has a high regard for his minister, and this has shown itself in the last two days: the first at the opening of the Piraeus metro, where he spoke flatteringly about how Piraeus antiquities were brought to the fore, and the second during his visit to Pella, where she was accompanied by a minister, and for the second time she spoke positively of her work and emphasized the archaeological wealth of the prefecture.
