“I welcome the overall package of measures proposed by the President of the European Commission, and especially the integration of the two proposals that Greece has been making for a long time,” the Prime Minister said, referring to the price adjustment mechanism in the TTF and limiting fluctuations in energy derivatives markets.
“The upcoming European Council is an opportunity to regain control of our energy markets by capping prices and reducing extreme volatility. This could be a decisive step in our efforts to lower energy prices for European citizens and businesses,” said Mr. Mitsotakis.
Natural Gas Commission proposal
Recall, the European Commission has proposed a new emergency regulation to combat high prices for natural gas in the EU. and ensuring energy supply.
