In 2023, tax audits will focus on VAT, transactions with affiliated persons, taxpayers who benefited from various forms of services from the state, as well as on sectors of the economy with recent growth that was not reflected in the volume of declared taxes, said Lucian Geiusz. President of ANAF.
He clarified that it is about the fact that “the tax declaration does not keep up with this increase”, and that at the same time it is about companies that received help from the state.
According to him, tax audits are always based on everything related to the selection of taxpayers, as well as on their actual activity, which is the result of risk analysis.
According to the project of the Ministry of Finance to amend the Fiscal Procedural Code, ANAF procedures for fiscal control and audits have been changed: identification is presented online, control especially for those with a high risk of evasion.
