A Russian missile hit a residential building in the southern Ukrainian port city of Mykolaiv. This is one of three explosions that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, a Reuters correspondent at the scene said.
The rocket completely destroyed the wing of a building in the center of the city, leaving a huge crater. Firefighters retrieved the man’s body from under the rubble.
Residents of the building were hiding in the basement when the rocket hit. A resident said the dead man was in the basement of a wing that collapsed after being hit by a missile.
A municipal official identified the missile as an S300. It is an anti-aircraft weapon of terror, but was used several times by the occupying forces for bombing.
Tuesday’s strikes came after a drone struck the Everi shipping terminal in Mykolaiv on Sunday evening, damaging sunflower oil storage tanks and setting the oil leak on fire.
‼️At night, #Mykolayiv was fired upon again by S-300 missiles.
