Following a coordinated investigation by the Serra Subdirectorate of Security, a climber-burglar was arrested and eight cases of apartment break-ins that took place in Serra in the last month with loot worth 21,000 euros were investigated.
In particular, as it turned out as a result of the investigation, the robber, shortly before he was exposed, climbed onto the balcony of the ground floor apartment, where, breaking the balcony door, he took out various decorations from the inside, with a total value of 15,000 euros, according to the statement of the victim. The stolen jewelry was recovered from him and returned to its rightful owner.
In the course of further investigation, it turned out that over the past month, in the same way, he broke into seven more apartments, from which he took out money and jewelry for a total of 6,210 euros, according to the statement of the victims.
The detainee was found with hacking tools, gloves and a metal blade, which were confiscated. The bicycle he was using was also confiscated. The police investigation is ongoing to establish the involvement of the above persons in similar crimes.
The arrested man was taken to the prosecutor Serra.
