A row between Turkey and Greece after 92 migrants, all men, were found naked on the border between the two countries.
According to Greek police, an investigation conducted jointly with European officials from Frontex has provided evidence that the migrants crossed the Evros River on their way to Greek territory from Turkey.
“Border guards found 92 illegal migrants without clothes, some of them with physical injuries,” the police reported. It is not clear why all the men were naked.
Greece’s migration minister, Notis Mitarachi, posted a photo of the migrants on Twitter, saying Turkey’s treatment of them was a “disgrace to civilization.”
Turkey’s behavior towards the 92 migrants we rescued at the border today is a disgrace to civilization. We expect that Ankara will investigate the incident and finally protect its borders with the EU. pic.twitter.com/JYtUG1RnzC

“Turkey’s behavior towards the 92 migrants we rescued at the border today is a shame for civilization. We expect Ankara to investigate the incident and finally protect its borders with the EU,” he wrote.
However, Turkey denies any interference in the case.
“Since you have not found a single case of human rights violations by Turkey, you are only portraying your own brutality as if Turkey did it,” Turkish Deputy Interior Minister Ismail Çatakli responded on Twitter, asking Greece to stop the “manipulation.”
The Minister of Citizen Protection of Greece, Takis Theodorikakos, said that from the words of the migrants, it can be assumed that they were brought to Greece by the Turkish police.
