
Romania’s men’s handball team, coached by Javi Pascual, defeated Ukraine 34:26 in the second match of the preliminary group 4 of the 2024 European Championship.
Hryhorash (9 goals) and Negru (7) were the main scorers for Romania, while Turchenko (6 goals) stood out for the Ukrainians.
In another match of the second stage, also on Sunday, the Faroe Islands take on Austria.
In the debut match of Group 4, the tricolors under the leadership of Javi Pascual were defeated by the Austrian national team with a score of 36-32 (18-11), so they have 2 points after the first two stages.
This is followed by disputes with the Faroe Islands (March 8 and 11, 2023), respectively, returns with Austria (April 26) and Ukraine (April 30).

- From the 32 national teams at the start of the qualification, 20 will receive a “ticket” to the final tournament in 2024, which will be hosted by Germany from January 10 to 28.
