The founder of the company, Vladyslav Lobaev, in an interview with one of the Russian state news agencies “RIA Novosti”, stated that the system called “Rubezh” includes a “bait”, dummy weapons and a defeat complex.

“We’re not even talking about a rifle, we’re talking about a robotic weapon with an electric trigger and activation mechanisms,” he said.

“This is our know-how, other enterprises of both the domestic and foreign arms industry, including the enemy, do not have such projects yet,” the businessman emphasized.

He clarified that the operator of the system will be able to quickly control all the complexes that are part of it, as well as attract enemy fire with a false target, identify the sniper and respond by destroying him.

He also stated in an interview that Lobaev Arms has already created a prototype of the “Rubezh” system.

The miracle weapon announced by the Russians since the beginning of the war in Ukraine

In July, TASS, another Russian state news agency, announced that the Russian military had used a new type of electromagnetic anti-drone rifle for the first time in combat in Ukraine.

“Russian electromagnetic complexes Stupor were successfully used for the first time during a special operation in Ukraine against Ukrainian drones,” a source in the “power structures” told TASS at the time.

“By aiming at the object and simply pressing the button, Stupor blocks the control signal between the operator and the drone, after which the Ukrainian drone is neutralized and forced to land in the right place,” it added.

The Stupor portable complex was allegedly created by the Main Research and Testing Center for Robotics of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which also presented a photo of the device, which was later distributed to pro-Russian separatists in Luhansk, although its effectiveness in the field of combat has not been independently verified by independent sources.

The TASS news comes after Interfax, another Moscow-based news agency, quoted Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov in May as saying a new laser developed by Russian researchers that would destroy enemy drones “in seconds” was almost ready to mass production.

He stated that the laser system is an order of magnitude higher in power than the existing ones and allows thermal destruction of “various means, such as drones.”

“In particular, demonstrated [eficacitatea armelor laser] at a distance of five kilometers, the drone burned up in seven seconds,” added Borisov.

However, this weapon has yet to be seen on the battlefield, and there are no photos or videos to confirm the laser’s existence.
