This week on the Disney+ platform, we’re picking an FX production that combines fine dining with the culinary frenzy of a local fast food restaurant. Carmi, a young chef genius, returns from New York to Chicago after the tragic death of his brother to take over the family’s traditional sandwich shop. Of course, the transition from haute cuisine to “fast food” is not entirely easy, and at the same time he has to deal with the ghosts of a difficult family past. As has happened so many times with medical shows, in The Bear, the kitchen here is an event environment where different characters come into conflict, kiss and start new relationships, in a series of half-hour episodes.

Sidney Sweeney recently even indirectly announced that the legendary film “Barbarella” will be revived. The young actress, made famous by the TV series White Lotus and Euphoria, will apparently star in the remake, taking on the role of the irresistible warrior Barbarella played by Jane Fonda in Roger Vadim’s cult sci-fi film. It remains to find out the rest of the cast of the project, since it is not at all excluded that he will go to the small screen.

“Redemption Team,” a sports documentary about the US basketball team that lost the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has been out on Netflix for several days now and is at the top of the popularity list. Tasked with washing away the shame of an early departure in Athens for the first time in their history, the American team is picking up a slew of stars led by the untimely loser Kobe Bryant under the tutelage of great coach Mike Szyzewski. Half of its length is devoted to the story of failures, including our national team’s defeat in Japan in 2006, on the road to redemption, culminating in the final against Spain, one of the greatest basketball games ever played.
