​FC Arges – FC Voluntari, the opening match of the 14th stage of the Romanian Championship, is scheduled for Friday, October 14 at 18:15 at the Nicolae Dobrin Stadium and will be broadcast live on Digi Sport 1, Orange Sport 1 and Prima Sport 2.

FC Argeş and FC Voluntari are two teams that played in the playoffs last season, but this season they showed results that were far from expectations; each have 16 points accumulated from 13 stages, two fewer than 6th-placed University of Craiova, who also have one less match played.

FC Arges won their last match at home against Craiova University (1-0) and snapped a five-game winless streak (the last four were defeats!), so coach Andrii Prepelita kept his post.

The Professional Football League included two footballers from FC Arges and three from FC Voluntari in the team of the 13th stage: Ketalin Straton (goalkeeper) and Kostinel Tofan (right back) of Pitesti, respectively Kosmin Achim (central defender), Omar Govea (midfielder) and Vitalie Damashkan (forward) from Ilfoveni.
