The recipient of complaints about two 18-year-old girls who “suffered in the same way as a 12-year-old girl” when they were minors due to two prisoners from Kolonos for sexual abuse and child prostitution, said he was one of the lawyers 37-year-old mother of the girl, Apostolos Lytras.
The lawyer, in statements made after the deadline received by his client accused of high-profile pimping, mentioned “two girls” who are accusing Ilias Mikhos and Yannis Sofianidis in a case similar to that of a 12-year-old, while he expressed confidence that in the case “there is a scheme”.
As Mr. Litras said, “I have already received calls that there are other complaints about a 53-year-old and a 42-year-old man. There are two other girls who complain – they are now 18, but they were minors when it happened. It looks like they were trying to get close to other kids to push them into prostitution. Undoubtedly, other persons will be investigated. The 213 heard should also be held accountable if there is evidence.”
Referring to his 37-year-old client, the lawyer said: “She continues to deny the allegations. He was given a deadline of 13.00 on Monday. He claims that he has absolutely nothing to do with what he is accused of. All this will be shown during interrogation. I was able to see some information from the case file […] the defendants nowhere claim that the mother knew anything […] A unique element, some kind of transfer that we know exists, we don’t even know, from a 53 year old man. She herself explains this by the fact that she worked with him.
He also added: “In communication with my eldest daughter, a really great girl, she says that it is a given that she does not have an affair. No one can excuse a mother for the way she behaves in raising her child. You won’t let a 12 year old go and go shopping all alone, that’s for sure. But it has nothing to do with the alleged crime. I was also impressed by this behavior, but it is not a crime. The perpetrator won her trust, which is why the money transfers are so small.”
When asked by a reporter what the woman thought, the lawyer replied: “She got the impression that everything was fine and that the child was right across the street (from the house). The girl’s older sister and brother, as well as her aunt, who first contacted me, told me the same thing and support me. […] This, of course, is a terrifying crime by Greek standards. […] I’m sure there’s a scheme behind it.”
