
Following the market launch of the initial version called “First Edition” and before presenting it to the public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot has revealed the prices of the model range. new Peugeot 408whose order book has just been opened.
It will be offered with three engines : a three-cylinder 1.2-liter PureTech gasoline engine with a capacity of 130 horsepower, as well as a four-cylinder hybrid gasoline 1.6-liter HYbrid, which is available in two versions with a capacity of 180 and 225 horsepower. All versions are offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a 100% electric version coming later in 2024.
Peugeot 408: three configurations
From the first level finish, baptized tempo, equipment is rich, in particular, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, active lane departure warning, automatic high beam, hands-free start, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Peugeot i-Cockpit 10-inch digital instrument panel, Infotainment system with 10- inch touchscreen with connected GPS navigation and i-Toggles, Safety Pack, Active Safety Brake, Safety Plus Pack and Drive Assist, LED headlights, reversing camera and rear radar or tinted windows and rear glass. Hybrid versions also benefit from adaptive cruise control.
The second level of processing Allure Pack adds hands-free access, front park assist, adaptive cruise control, panel reading, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and acoustic laminated front windows.

Peugeot 408: lots of standard equipment
The third level of configuration GT Add to that Clean Cabin, Driver Sport Pack, motorized tailgate with hands-free access, Peugeot Connect SOS & Assistance, semi-autonomous driving level 2 in Drive Assist Plus package, lane keeping assistance, i-Cockpit 3D, Matrix LED headlights , mesh/TEP/alcantara upholstery and heated leather steering wheel.
As for personalization, the catalog offers a choice between six body colors : Obsession Blue, Titanium Grey, Artense Grey, Perla Nera Black, Pearly White and Elixir Red. Several models of 17-, 18- and 20-inch alloy wheels are available, either as standard or as an option depending on the version.
