Speaking a day after rocket attacks on major Ukrainian cities, including the capital Kyiv, Zelenskyy called for tough new sanctions against Moscow and again ruled out talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zelensky, who joined the virtual meeting of G7 leaders, also called on the G7 to support the international mission on the border between Ukraine and Belarus.

At the same time, in a Telegram message, Zelensky asked the G7 countries to support a strict ceiling on the export of Russian oil and gas.

“A hard cap on the price of Russian oil and gas exports is needed — zero profit for a terrorist state,” he said in a statement posted on the Telegram messaging app.

Zelensky once again ruled out negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We must also recognize the obvious fact: there can be no dialogue with this leader of Russia, who has no future. Negotiations can be either with another head of Russia – who will adhere to the UN Charter, the basic principles of humanity and territorial integrity of Ukraine – or in a different configuration, so that the key terrorist does not have the opportunity to influence key decisions. through terror. Now peace is blocked by one person – and this person is in Moscow.
