The Russian military said on Tuesday that missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy and military infrastructure continued today, Reuters reports.
“The goal of these strikes has been achieved. All the specified objects were hit,” Moscow Defense Ministry spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said in his daily report on the conflict, following a similar statement a day earlier.
The fact that all the statements of the Russian Ministry of Defense sound the same was also noted by retired colonel-general Andriy Kartapalov, currently the chairman of the defense committee of the Russian State Duma, on the air, where he was invited last week.
“The updates of the Ministry of Defense practically do not change the content of ‘we shot down 10 missiles, hit 50 targets, destroyed hundreds of Nazis’ and nothing else,” he paraphrased.
During the intervention, Kartapalov asked the military command in Moscow to stop lying about the development of hostilities.
Russian missile attacks left hundreds of Ukrainian cities without electricity
According to the latest data released by the Ukrainian authorities on Tuesday, at least 19 people were killed and another 105 were injured as a result of rocket attacks by Russian armed forces on the capital Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine on Monday.
More than 300 cities were left without power after the terrorist attacks, which Russian President Vladimir Putin called Russia’s response to Saturday’s explosion on the Kerch bridge.
On Tuesday morning, the State Emergency Service of Kyiv put all of Ukraine on alert for new terrorist attacks that may happen today.
“WARNING. During the day, there is a high probability of missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine. Please stay in shelters for your own safety, do not ignore air warning signals,” Ukrainian authorities said.
