The Stugna-P anti-tank guided missile systems used by the Ukrainians were at least as effective on the battlefield throughout the war as the much better known Javelin and NLAW.

New footage has appeared on social media showing how a unit of the Ukrainian military managed to knock out two Russian tanks and an armored car with one Stugna-P system.

In the footage, the cameraman can clearly see two Russian tanks crossing an open field on the screen, even stopping in this area. After the first tank is completely knocked out, the Ukrainians reload the system and shoot again at the second tank that has started to move. Although he was moving out of the zone, an anti-tank guided missile caught up with him and hit him hard.

The same operator has another success: he shoots down a Russian armored car in the same place.

What is the Stugna-P system

The Stugna-P is a portable semi-automatic anti-tank system that launches laser-guided missiles and has the ability to further correct the missile’s trajectory using a joystick, which has been seen in several videos shared on social media. . The Stugna-P does not offer the same mobility as the Javelin and NLAW systems, but instead has a much longer range – its missiles can reach a distance of up to 5.8 km, but guided by a launcher.

The warhead is also designed with two warheads to penetrate even tanks with dynamic armor.

The “Stugna-P” system is used with great success by Ukrainian soldiers. With a much longer range than other similar systems, its missiles can engage targets up to 5.8 km away.

In addition to hitting tanks and armored vehicles, infantry groups and even helicopters, such as Russian Alligator attack helicopters.
