The White House has announced that the United States will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine, while Russian President Vladimir Putin has started a war and can end it if he chooses to do so, Reuters reported on Sunday, citing Agerpres.
“We have nothing to add to the reports of an explosion on the bridge (from the Crimean side, across the Kerch Strait),” John Kirby, the strategic communications coordinator of the White House National Security Council, told the ABC television company.
“I can tell you that Mr. Putin started this war, and Mr. Putin can end this today by simply withdrawing his troops from Ukraine,” added Kirby.
On February 24 of this year, Russia launched an unfounded and unprovoked military aggression against Ukraine. Moscow claims that this is a “special military operation to de-Nazify” the neighboring country and protect the Russian-speaking community in eastern Ukraine.
