
World ranking leader Iga Sviatek lost the final of the tournament in Ostrava, the Pole lost to Barbora Krejcikova (seventh favorite of the WTA 500 tournament).

In Sunday’s final, the champion of Roland Garros-2021 won after three hours and 15 minutes of struggle with the score 5-7, 7-6(4), 6-3.
The athlete from the Czech Republic scored the sixth match point.
Barbora also beat Shelby Rogers (35 WTA), Belinda Bencic (14 WTA / Penalty), Alicia Parks (144 WTA) and Elena Rybakina (26 WTA) in Ostrava.
Krejcikova will take part in the Transylvania Open next week. The former world number two (February 2022) will be the main favorite at the “WTA 250” competition in Cluj-Napoca.
