According to the draw held in Frankfurt on Sunday, the Romanian national football team will enter Group I of the preliminary tournament of the 2024 European Championship hosted by Germany. “Tricolor” will meet with Switzerland, Israel, Kosovo, Belarus and Andorra.

There were 53 representative teams in the draw, with the exception of Germany (officially qualified from the position of the organizer) and Russia (excluded from the competition).

When will the qualifying matches for EURO 2024 take place

The matches of the EURO 2024 qualifying tournament will take place between March and November 2023, and 20 qualification matches will be determined.

A further 3 representative teams will earn a place in the final tournament following the Nations League play-offs in March 2024.

First stage: March 23-25, 2023

II stage: March 26-28, 2023

III stage: June 16-17, 2023

IV stage: June 19-20, 2023

Stage V: September 7-9, 2023

VI stage: September 10-12, 2023

VII stage: October 12-14, 2023

VIII stage: October 15-17, 2023

IX stage: October 16-18, 2023

Stage X: November 19-21, 2023.

The final tournament of EURO 2024 will be held from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
