  • On Saturday morning, a powerful explosion rang out on the Kerch bridge – as it is also called Vladimir Putin’s bridge, built in a hurry after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. The moment of the explosion on the Kerch bridge was recorded by video surveillance cameras, which was reported by the Russian services. a mined truck that could be detonated, although some elements cast doubt on the Russians’ assumptions.

At least three sections of the bridge collapsed into the water, but only on one of the two carriageways. A train with tanks, which was passing at the time of the explosion, caught fire on the railway bridge and got stuck on the tracks. From the side of the railway, it is not yet known how extensive the damage is, the movement of trains has not yet been unblocked.

However, traffic on the only remaining bridge was reopened on Saturday afternoon. But it was opened with restrictions: both tonnage and flow, because near the place of the explosion the roadway was significantly narrowed.

In fact, of the four traffic lanes, you can now move in turn on only one.

In addition, all vehicles wishing to cross the bridge undergo a thorough inspection.
