Many people tell their doctor that they drink alcohol occasionally, even though they may drink every day or every week. Giselle Nutsu, resident gastroenterologist and nutrition expert, says that for her, once in a while is not something regular.
“It only happens in certain situations. I don’t drink at every wedding, I don’t drink at every party, but I drink in a restaurant if the wine is very interesting or better,” she explains, “La Cafea în Studioul Mic” from HotNews.ro.
As for food, says Giselle Nutsu, the ideal is to choose products that can be processed as little as possible and cook them at home, combining them so that a complete meal is obtained.

What does it mean to drink alcohol occasionally?
Dealing with liver and gastrointestinal health, I feel compelled to ask this as it has a very large impact on liver disease.
Most answers: occasionally!
This casual has many meanings because everyone is different. Some say occasionally, that is, at every meal. For others, every now and then means every weekend. In other cases, only at weddings and christenings.
For me, once in a while is not something regular. This is something that only happens in certain situations. I don’t drink at every wedding, I don’t drink at every party, but sometimes I drink at a table in a restaurant if the wine is very interesting or better.
If you drink alcohol every weekend, then it is something regular. There is no more opportunity. By occurrences we mean events that do not happen often or regularly. Anything in excess is harmful. As long as we have balance and know how to stop when necessary, we can drink alcohol too.
The ideal is as little as possible, as rarely as possible, so that it does not become a habit, does not create addiction. If we see that it is constant or regular, we need to break the cycle. Let’s ask ourselves: why is this so?
Is alcohol good or bad for health?
Given that alcohol comes in many forms: in many concentrations, in many formulas, but the main substance (alcohol) is the same, this means that it is harmful.
If we talk about red wine, which has recently been popularized that it would be good for cardiovascular diseases, for the heart, then I think that it is not good, considering that it also contains a toxic substance. We cannot rule it out.
If these were only benefits, we could say that it is healthy, but it also has risks. We cannot say: I drink red wine because it is good! That would be wrong.
We could benefit from the substances in red wine in other ways without experiencing the negative effects of alcohol. Then I say that alcohol is not healthy, even if it will have beneficial effects, but the negative effects balance the beneficial ones, and then I would not recommend drinking alcohol, for example, for heart health.
In any case, it is unhealthy even for the heart, and even more so for the rest of the organs.
Does muscle mass decrease if we do not consume protein?
Not necessarily. First of all, we must support it with physical efforts. Of course, if we don’t consume enough protein, we can either lose muscle mass or not gain it as quickly.
It is important to have a minimum of protein. Not only for muscles, but also for other things involved in the formation of muscle mass. That is, hormones, various neurotransmitters, chemicals that act at the muscle level.
Is vegetable protein the same as animal protein?
If we strictly mean the macronutrient protein, separately, it is the same, but protein does not occur separately in nature. Meat, for example, also contains fat. It’s not 100% just protein.
When it comes to vegan protein vs. animal protein, there is a difference. Vegan proteins are less concentrated and contain some substances that make their digestion and assimilation difficult.
Then they are not quite equal.
Vegan vs. Whey Protein. Are they the same?
Those containing serum have higher bioavailability. That is, they are absorbed and metabolized faster. It’s a bit slower, but the amino acids can still be the same.
Their amino acid composition is very different. Those designed for athletes contain the amino acids needed to increase muscle mass, even if they are also vegan.
What should a salad contain?
In order for the salad to turn out complete, it is necessary to put more useful substances into it, so that it is filling, nutritious and useful.
This means putting vegetables, salad, but this is not enough, because we are not hungry. Then, of course, then we need to add other food categories. For example, the most important protein. Here, as vegan sources, we have several options, whether we’re talking about legumes or tofu or soy products, whether we’re talking about legumes (ie nuts, seeds) or vegetables that are higher in protein.
Is a teaspoon of yeast flakes good for you?
So. It is good that the salad is as complete as possible.
(see the VIDEO for more details)
Is vegan cheese healthy?
Vegan cheese is, of course, a processed product. In this form, it is not found anywhere in nature. For this reason, it is not the healthiest food.
The ideal is to eat the least processed, natural foods, naturally cooked and prepared in a way to aid absorption and digestion, but avoid highly processed foods as much as possible.
Even a vegan diet can be unhealthy if we choose such foods.
If we choose to eat vegan cheese, vegan hamburger and all kinds of processed industrial products, this can also have negative consequences.
