A Turkish UAV that entered the Athens FIR without filing a flight plan violated national airspace today and flew over Mavra east of Kinaros at 19,000 feet today at 17:44.
Earlier today at 5:04 pm, the same drone flew over Kalogeris at 19,000 feet.
The Turkish drone was identified and intercepted in accordance with international regulations in accordance with standard practice.
New Acar Threats
Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar made new threats, noting that Ankara is not retreating either on the field or at the table.
“There is no retreat even for a millimeter, everything that needs to be done for this has been done and is being done,” the Turkish minister emphasized and added: “Especially our Navy and Air Force received clear instructions on this matter.”
At the same time, he threatened “serious consequences” for those countries that “publicly” and “disproportionately” support Greece.
