
Minister for the Protection of Citizens, Takis Theodorikakosmet today with British Ambassador to Greece Matthew Lodge.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of security were discussed, while the minister raised the issue of the ever-increasing threat that our country faces on the border with Turkey, in Evros. Mr. Theodorikakos mentioned the instrumentalization of unfortunate people, as well as the measures taken by the Greek government, and in particular the Akritas plan, which is under full operational development, to combat illegal immigration.
The Minister for Civil Protection and the British Ambassador stressed the good level of relations between the two countries in the field of police cooperation and security.
