​The Romanian national football team was relegated to Division C of the Nations League, and coach Edi Iordenescu was re-confirmed in his position. According to the FIFA ranking released on Thursday, the first national team is ranked 53rd in the world.

Romania climbed one place in the world ranking, previously the tricolors were in 54th place.

In the last matches of the League of Nations, the team coached by Edi Iordenescu drew with Finland away (1:1) and beat Bosnia and Herzegovina at home (4:1).

• Romania’s lowest ranking was recorded in 2012, 57th place.
