Emma Reducanu will not take part in the Transylvania Open 2022, a WTA 250 tournament that will be held at the BTArena in Cluj-Napoca. The organizers named the reason for the Briton’s absence in the main grid.

“Unfortunately, Emma Reducanu has to withdraw from the Transylvania Open 2022 due to a wrist injury.

Eugenie Bouchard in the Cluj-Napoca qualifier

The Transylvania Open Qualifiers will take place on October 8 and 9, 2022, with the main draw matches on October 10-16.

Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard will play in the qualification. The athlete from Canada played in the final act of the All England Club in the 2014 edition (she beat Simona Halep in the semifinals).

Transylvania Open will be held from October 10 to 16 in Cluj-Napoca, it will be held on closed hard, the tournament is part of the WTA 250 category, it has a total prize money of $251,750, and the title champion is Anette Kontaveit.
