British artist and writer Brian Keitling has died at the age of 74. His long career included installation, performance, painting, as well as poetry and teaching, which he called “the main elements of my imaginary spectrum”. His big break came ten years ago with the fantasy dark trilogy Vorr. “Imagination is a muscle that grows with exercise,” he said in an interview.

(…) The ninth author whose work will be included in the Library of the Future is the German Judith Salansky. This library is an ongoing project inspired by Scottish artist Katie Patterson in 2014 and is asking writers to create work that won’t be shown to readers until 2114. The texts are stored in a room lined with wood from the forest where Patterson planted a thousand Norwegian fir trees in the Dickman Library in Oslo.

(…) The Polish pianist Christian Zimmerman, who unfortunately rarely records, has been awarded the Praemium Imperiale for Music, the highest award given annually by the Japan Art Association to people in the arts and architecture whose contributions have shaped their field.
