Novak Djokovic has opened up about his rivalry with Rafael Nadal after winning the ATP title in Tel Aviv, with the Serb saying it is the most important matchup in tennis history.

Nole’s claims were denied by two great legends of women’s tennis, Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova.
Joker and Rafa have met 59 times, with Novak leading his opponent 30-29.
Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova dominated women’s tennis for years, both rivals played at least 80 (!) direct matches. Navratilova leads 43-37.
Djokovic’s statement didn’t necessarily go down well with the two former players, their reaction on Twitter was telling on the matter.
“Oooooh,” Evert wrote along with Nole’s statement, while Navratilova wanted to point out that she was wrong and forgot about their rivalry.
“He literally said from tennis,” was Martina’s reaction after Novak clarified.
