Minister for the Protection of Citizens, Takis Theodorikakosmet today with US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis. The minister raised the issue of the threat that our country faces on the border with Turkey in Evros by instrumentalizing disgruntled people. Mr. Theodorikakos also referred to the measures taken by the Greek government and in particular the Akritas project, which is currently underway.
The Minister and the American Ambassador also discussed further strengthening the strategic cooperation between Greece and the United States in the critical area of police cooperation and security.
