According to hospital sources, 83-year-old actor Alexandru Arsinel died on Thursday evening at the University Hospital of Bucharest. AND former manager of the “Kostyantyn Tenase” theater, on whose stage he played for 44 years.

Alexandru Arsinel has been admitted to the capital’s university hospital since the middle of this month, as he recently had several health problems.

In 2013, Arshinel underwent a kidney transplant at the Institute of Urology and Kidney Transplantation in Cluj, which at the time was headed by doctor Mihai Lukan, the intervention was performed on the same day he was registered on the waiting list in the National Transplant Registry.

For 44 years, he played on the stage of the “Kostyantyn Tenase” theater.

Alexandru Arsinel was born in Dolhaska, Suceava county, www.teatrultanase.ro reports. In 1962, he graduated from the Institute of Theater and Cinematography in Bucharest with Constantin Diplan, Camelia Zorlescu, Ion Andrei, Harry Baranga and Harry Zomenov as fellow students.

Together with most of his colleagues, he was assigned to the State Theater in Tirgu Mures, where he founded the Romanian section of this theater. Starting in 1967, he played dozens of roles at the “Constantin Tenase” magazine theater in Bucharest and at Boehm’s Garden.

Since 1978, Alexandru Arsinel formed a famous couple with Stella Popescu, who died in 2017. He played together with Stella Popescu in the performances of the “Tănase” theater in Grădina Boema based on texts by Mihai Maximilian.

From 1998 to 2018, Alexandru Arsinel was the director of the magazine theater “Constantin Tenase” in Bucharest.
