The facts took place a few days ago in the USAmore precisely in Lakewood, a town in the state of Washington, located about sixty kilometers south of Seattle.
In the middle of the night, a local resident who witnessed the accident called the police: they found a Mini Countryman stuck in concrete still fresh, in a working area in a residential area, at the site of a new roundabout under construction.
Stolen Mini Countryman: the destructive effects of alcohol
The driver of the car, clearly drunk, could not open the door of the car stuck in the concrete: so she started throwing objects through the window before getting out of the car, a bottle of whiskey by hand and accompanied by a four-year-old child.
Then two people ran away, but they were soon found by the police thanks to the help of a witness who allegedly followed the suspects during the police call. According to local television, the suspect allegedly stole a car from his own motherbefore setting off with this little child she would kidnap.
Stolen Mini Countryman: head to court
The next morning, the Mini Countryman was pulled out of the mud by the local police and taken away by a tow truck. The road and roundabout construction project was able to resume despite this incident and the site had to undergo major repairs.
As for our indelicate driver, she was detained by the police, and will soon have to appear in court of Lakewood: She is charged with reckless driving, property damage, hit and run, third-degree domestic violence and driving under the influence.
There’s a reason ROAD CLOSED signs are up and detours are in place. Thanks to a series of bad decisions by individuals (including driving a stolen car with a bottle of whiskey in hand), our spillway at the North Gate Rd/Edgewood Ave roundabout has become a failure. pic.twitter.com/x2iJO5GBrB
