
Amendment to establish a ceiling for profits from firewood, pellets and other hard materials fuel which are intended for space heating, were submitted by the Ministry of Development and Investment in the morning to Parliament and should be put to a vote today.
In particular, the amendment provides that the gross profit margin will not exceed the corresponding one that was applied per unit of weight volume until November 1, 2021.
In addition, in order to combat the phenomenon of speculation, companies operating in the chain of production, import, marketing, sale, brokerage, processing, distribution and storage of solid fuels intended for space heating in the territory of Greece, submit within two days before the deadline statement with stock details:
a) firewood of all kinds,
b) pellets
c) briquettes,
d) pre-ignition
e) Dadi
Violators will be fined between 5,000 euros and 1 million euros. It is noted that initially the ceiling is valid until December 31, 2022.
