
​Bitdefender announced on Wednesday that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with Ferrari SpA, becoming the global cybersecurity partner of Scuderia Ferrari in the Formula 1 World Championship. The Italian company will research and evaluate Bitdefender’s cybersecurity products and services to incorporate into its operations.
This season of Formula 1 Scuderia Ferrari is represented by pilots Charles Leclerc (second place in the general classification – 219 points) and Carlos Sainz Jr. (5th place – 187 points). In the hierarchy of manufacturers, Ferrari ranks second (below the leader RedBull, but above competitors Mercedes).
Starting from the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix, Bitdefender will display the company logo on the helmets of the Ferrari drivers, as well as on the F1-75 car driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, and from 2023 on the racing suits and team uniforms.
The companies say they will also engage in marketing activities, including private meetings with Ferrari team drivers and technical team members, factory tours, pit access and other exclusive events.
In addition, Ferrari will study and evaluate Bitdefender’s cybersecurity products and services to incorporate into its work.
Bitdefender’s security researchers, analysts and engineers conduct sophisticated cyber threat analysis using the organization’s global network of hundreds of millions of monitored and protected devices to detect and stop cyber attacks faster.
A team of security experts uses machine learning to screen billions of cyber threat queries every day, which they integrate into Bitdefender’s cyber security solutions.
