President of UDMR, Deputy Prime Minister Kelemen Hunor is convinced that Romania will not find itself in a situation where it will not have gas resources or will be forced to rationalize consumption. He explained to Antena 3 that not all businesses in the industry can be saved through financial intervention from the state, News.ro reports.
When asked under which scenario Romania could run out of gas, the vice-prime minister answered: “There is no such scenario.”
Kelemen Hunor also ruled out the possibility of rationalizing gas consumption.
As for certain industries or industry entities that can be “saved” with funds from the state budget during the energy crisis, the Deputy Prime Minister believes that there are areas where the government “simply cannot intervene.” have no funds.
“Both we and our colleagues in the coalition would like to save everyone, but it will not be possible. Why should we lie? Why not tell the truth? For example, we cannot save Azomureș from the state budget. And there are few – not many, thank God! – where we simply cannot intervene, because there is no money, no public money, to save this industry or this sector, unfortunately. You saw others also stopped the factories of artificial chemical fertilizers, they just stopped,” said Kelemen Hunor on Antena 3 on Tuesday night.
