The development of the tricolors in the matches against Finland (1-1) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (4-1) convinced Burleana, and he said that he wants Iordenescu to continue sitting on the bench of the national team.

“Procedures for the following days have begun. A meeting of the Technical Commission will be held on Friday, after which the report will be confirmed at the CEx meeting. We want to know exactly which coach we will have in the Euro 2024 draw. I can tell you my offer, it’s Edi Iordenescu!

Our role as an administration is to provide all necessary logistical support. With any selector, we tried to get as much as possible. If we look at the last two games, we agree that the team’s cohesion has been created. This gives us confidence in the campaign that starts in March next year, we have reason to be optimistic.

What pleases us is that we did not fall below the 3rd pot in the Euro 2024 draw. Given that we are relegated in the next Nations League draw, we will face more accessible teams. We are interested in the fact that in the match against Finland we saw 9 youth pupils, and against Bosnia – 7 players. These players must reach their full potential next campaign.

It was also of great importance (not the fact that Edi Yordenescu will continue to be a breeder). As long as you have a ready coach who believes he can take the national team forward, you have to trust him. If he didn’t believe, it wouldn’t be an offer.
